Chris Alex
Hi here's a music video i directed a couple of years ago. It was shot on miniDV using a Canan XL1. My goal was to acheive a film look. I edited it on a Final Cut Pro 2. Lo Res: (DivX 5.0.2 200x150 6MB): http://files.hiphop.gr/media/videos/arketa.avi Hi Res (DivX 5.0.2 400x300 17MB): http://files.hiphop.gr/media/videos/arketaHigh.avi Feedback welcomed. Thank you. Guest Daniel J. Ashley-Smith
Lighting, set, makeup and costume design was amazing. The only bad thing I'd say is that it's somewhat repetitive. Other than that, great! BTW the large movie doesn't seem to work, for me atleast. (No offence but, crap song) Edited April 12, 2005 by Daniel J. Ashley-Smith

I was assigned this song and I had no more budjet to put more stuff into it. It was a VERY low budget video. Sorry for asking but what does "BTW" mean? What about the film look? Do I pass? Jon Allen
Its hard to tell on a 200 pix image. I can run anything through a set of filters and shrink it down so that no one can tell. Remember this about your video though, grainy video and film grain are two VERY different things.

Thank you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The low Res version is the only one that works sadly, and it is artifact city. Block,Blocky, Blocky. Worse than a pxlvision camera. I love the misc en scene in the video tho, it reminds me a lot of "Inauguration of the pleasure dome". The idea reminds me a lot of the "Space is the place" film with Sun Ra too. It does seem very repetitive, tho. love Freya
Guest nao_yoshino
Hey ALX, I couldn't get the Hi Res to work either - even tried using VLC player (which will open ANYTHING! and it tells me the end of the clip was reached prematurely - maybe it's an FTP transfer error?) VLC Download Site (it's free!) BTW - by the way Misc en scene? Mis en scene, no? :P If you can solve the problem with the Hi Res video, I am more than willing to watch and critique! Best, Nao Edited June 14, 2005 by nao_yoshino
