Jack Nitz
I'm getting ready to use a set of CP2s on a film next month, and was wondering what MB others have used with these lenses. We'll be shooting on either Epic or Scarlet. All of the CP2s we would be using have a 114mm front diameter. I was looking into the Arri MBs but can't seem to find on their site which diameters fit each MB. Thanks!
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted October 7, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted October 7, 2013 Most matte-boxes will have adapters to suite your lens size. Failing that there are also "universal" ones which basically are some material with an elastic band to stretch to over the lens.
Jack Nitz
Got it. So it's safe to say I could go with either the MB14 or the MB18, granted I get adapters? Thanks!
Travis Gray
I think most of their boxes fit 114mm. I have the same setup and I can't find my mattebox on their site, and forgetting the model number off hand, but it's one of the lightweight ones. Fits the 114 diameter, which is one of the big reasons I went with that one. The specs on their site should say which diameter it fits too. http://www.arri.com/camera/pro_camera_accessories/matte_boxes/mini_matte_box_mmb_2/ (I think that's mine, model number looks familiar, but I have the two-stage version)
Jack Nitz
Cool, that's comforting. I'll probably go for the one you have in that case.
