Lighting help, how to achieve this look

Recommended Posts

Hey folks,

I was wondering if you guys could provide some insight into how this was lit,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOyYXlQ7770

judging from what I see in her eyes here and there, it's mainly a 4x4 diffused frame, and judging from the hot spot in the reflection it's something thinner like Opal maybe? My guess is there's a 4x4 frame within 6 feet of the model slightly camera right, and a foot or two above her.then maybe a bit of reflector low down at waist level to pump a bit under the chin. Doesn't look like there's any back lighting.

I'm loving the beautiful skin smoothness, and soft contouring of the face, Any tips on how to achieve this?

Thanks people!

D.

Judging from the reflections in her eyes, the sources are huge -- you can see that the soft frames reach the floor and there are people standing in front of the frames, so they'd have to be something like 10'x10' or 12'x12', one on each side of her face with the camera hidden between them for the ECU on her eye, on other ones, one frame is brighter than the other. One shot the light is closer to the frame in front of it so there is a round hot spot, or else, they removed some intermediate diffusion frame. Something on the floor, or else it's just a light-toned floor, to reflect back up as well.
