Brian Drysdale
Sony has announced their new Super 35 digital camera. http://www.sony.co.uk/pro/product/broadcast-products-camcorders-digital-motion-picture-camera/pxw-fs5/overview/?SM=TW1&src=110915FCP_T2__ZLBI&cmp=scl-cc-11756 http://www.redsharknews.com/production/item/2884-sony-s-superb-new-fs5-the-camera-dslr-users-have-always-dreamed-about
Michael LaVoie
If it truly offers RAW output without the XDCA expansion kit and or offers internal DCI4K XAVC - Intra to normal SD cards (after future firmware updates) than that will really be a hostile gesture to FS7 adopters. What would be the point of getting the FS7 then over the FS5? The grip handle? This isn't the same as the FS7/ F5 situation where there's a pretty clear distinction between the two. This seems to be a case of making something lighter/cheaper and pretty much better than a camera they released not even a year ago. Ugh.
Brian Drysdale
The interesting bit is the electonically variable ND.
