Landon D. Parks
Hey all, I'm currently finishing color correction for friends short film, and he is looking for a DCP for festivals. I created a DCP for a previous documentary using OpenDCP, tested it in a local art house and it worked fine. However, I found the process rather long and drawn out, and with more than a couple of errors. It appears Premiere Pro has a DCP option - Wraptor. I'm a little sketchy about such a plugin, but it does appear that it might automatically do all the LUT conversion and output to the proper files without needing to doing a TIFF and separate audio tracks to bring into OpenDCP. Does anyone have experience with Wraptor? Is it any good? I don't want to waste time and money (Art house charges me $100 to test per hour) making a DCP with Wraptor, yet I'm curious of it's performance in the real world. I mostly been using Resolve for editing and delivery, but the built-in DCP (for free at that) in Premiere might transition me back. There is no budget for a professional DCP mastering. - Landon Edited May 4, 2016 by Landon D. Parks
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted May 4, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted May 4, 2016 I thought the newer version of resolve had a DCP in it?
Landon D. Parks
It has a built-in easyDCP plugin, but you have to license it from easyDCP for it to work, and the cost is upwards of $1,200.
