It's really quite fantastic how much added functionality Sony have brought to these cameras, I think this new 16-bit codec is particularly exciting.

Yes I bought a F5 just over 2 years ago.. basically an HD camera with a nice over sampled image off a 4K sensor.. V4 I think.. for $1,000 more ..(well and a bit of luck, thanks Paul Ream).. I now have a camera that can record internally 4K/UHD at 300/480 Mbps.. or up over 900 at 50/60p.. !! and 3 types of compressed 16 bit RAW with a small integrated recorder.. for probably half the price of an Amira.. undoubtetly now,with these up grades and "real" 4K sensor.. a better camera..
