Jeff Andrew
Who can tell me about the lighting of this music video? Speceficly what did they use to get that soft white look? It seems like they used a decent amount of haze. Anyone have any info they can share? Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUC2EQvdzmY
Stuart Brereton
Looks like a very large soft source above the center of the room. In the widest shot, there is also a hard source pointing downwards, as you can tell from the hard shadows on the floor. As you say, they also used haze, at least in the wides. Armen sarkisov
It's only a matter of time before that's essentially the Council of Europe. Anyone recognise the location? P hey, it's been shoot in 'ukrainian house' a former museum of lenin in kiev ukraine Looks like a very large soft source above the center of the room. In the widest shot, there is also a hard source pointing downwards, as you can tell from the hard shadows on the floor. As you say, they also used haze, at least in the wides. agree seems the soft light is through big frame of grid cloth or maybe silik. from the location it's easier to put a big grid cloth 20X20 from above floor and from the roof top hit it withe big HMI. as you mention it looks like harsh light from the second floor that pointing downwards to the right side and the left side it easily can be seen through the direction of the shadows (not a one source lighting shadow) in wides shots.
