jasarsenault
I have shot a lot of 7222 double-x footage and I am thinking of playing with some plus-x film for a change. How does the plus-x look compare to the double-x 16mm? I generally like the double-x, even if it is a bit grainy. Is the plus-x signifigantly less grainy? Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted June 20, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted June 20, 2005 To my eyes, Double-X has a "sooty gray" look whereas Plus-X has a "pearly white" look. Sort of hard to describe; Plus-X is less grainy, slightly more contrasty. I sometimes prefer the look of Plus-X pushed one stop to Double-X.
