Guest D.Sreenivas
hi friends some one said that the angle of the hitting light determines the exact output quality of the picture in the color sense and in the shadow details so please help me out in this topic in a detailed manner
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted July 2, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted July 2, 2005 I'm not sure what the question is -- obviously you chose an angle for a light based on how you want that light to look on the subject and what shadows it creates, all relative to the camera position. Frontal light tends to emphasize color and de-emphasize texture, and the more raking the light becomes, the reverse is true -- texture gets emphasized and colors gets diminished. oscar jimenez
cosine law? is that the question? The amount of light decreases as surface is tilted away from source or lamp is tilted away from sourface.
Premium Member Adam Frisch FSF Posted July 5, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted July 5, 2005 If you've ever played pool you know how light bounces - it's the same principle.
