Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted July 24, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted July 24, 2005 No, anamorphic using Hawk C-Series from Clairmont I believe.
F Bulgarelli
They did extensive testing before principal photography, comparing our anamorphics with panavision's. They used the Hawks, as well as the clairmont anamorphics, probably for steadycam work and also took out a 36-200 cooke and a 50-500 Ang. Premium Member Max Jacoby Posted July 25, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted July 25, 2005 Don't you think it's more likely that they shot on the Hawks V-Series? The C-series are lighter, but if they used the Clairmonts on the steadicam, then it would be more logical to carry V-Series instead C-Series. My impression is that they aren't a big believer in the future of anamorphic so weren't interested in buying any more anamorphic lenses since they got the C-Series several years ago.
