Ricardo Garza Posted October 20, 2021 Share Posted October 20, 2021 I changed the belts some months ago but i had to move the motor a little bit to fit the new belt but im worried this might have changed the fps, i Dont have a Cine checker. can i use a normal tachometer ? how can i convert Hz to FPS ?? Aaron Martin @ OH Posted November 8, 2021 Share Posted November 8, 2021 Ricardo, You can get a rough idea of the FPS by running a 100-foot length of dummy load through the camera, timing how long it takes with the stopwatch on a smartphone and then checking that time against an online film calculator. Robino Jones Posted November 9, 2021 Share Posted November 9, 2021 You should not have to move the motor if you use the correct belts. I ordered a kit like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/274839381628?hash=item3ffdb4267c:g:BBEAAOxy~dNQ~8c~ It's super easy to install, and then If the red light stays on when running the camera then it should be locked to 24fps or 25fps depending on your model.
