omar robles
So I am currently shooting with the Arri Alexa CLASSIC and I am interested in shooting anamorphic. The issue is despite my camera having anamorphic license it is still not the best option for shooting anamorphic. I am considering purchasing a ARRI ALEX PLUS 4:3 to shoot anamorphic, I am just confused by the full frame thing. The lenses currently out say FULL FRAME and the Alexa plus is not,, can I still use lenses like the Viltrex or the Orion lenses? Thanks in advance O.R
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted July 24, 2023 Premium Member Share Posted July 24, 2023 It’s fine to use lenses that cover full frame on a S35 camera, the sensor just crops the image circle down. It’s only a potential problem going the other way, if you try to use S35 lenses on a full frame camera, then you can get vignetting.
