david jenewein
hey there, hope you're all well. i have an issue with the raw files i recently shot and recorded with an axs-r5 recorder i bought 2nd hand. when importing the files i realised that the images are not flat but have actually a quite extreme grade on them, which led to high saturated colours and overexposure!? i also recorded proxies in hd in slog3 and they are totally fine and the way they should be. i am not sure if i messed up a setting to burn in this curve into the raws, or if the recorder is broken!? anybody ever experienced something like this? please let me know if you have any advise. thanks, david settings i used: base setting_ shooting mode - cine ei, main operation - axs (r7/r5), color space - s-gamut3.cine/slog3, imager scan mode - normal hours meter - 2553H (!?) probably from a rental
david jenewein
just realised that the issue must have something to do with opening the raw files in premiere. when opening in davinci all looks fine. X
Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted July 24, 2023 Premium Member Share Posted July 24, 2023 the R5 does not bake any LUT to the raw files, the lut and colour info is only added to the file metadata and it is up to the editing software to read and interpret that info correctly which the Premiere setup seemingly did not do. Probably it just added the LUT two times in a row to the same file which would result in extreme contrast and colours
