Benjamin Bosko
Hi, I found someone on ebay selling a bunch of this Agfa Gevapan 36 Reversal Film 880 from AGFA-GEVAERT. I was wondering if this would be able to be processed E-6. I'm not positive but I think it's from the late 70's early 80's. The fifth edition of the American Cinematographer Manual from 1980 has a listing for the stock. I'm interested in 16mm reversal stocks and I happened to find this, but I was hoping that someone on here might know a little about it and if it was worth trying. https://www.ebay.com/itm/334935921506?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20221115143056%26meid%3D86f6d60684a743df9d89aa1797dd7955%26pid%3D101612%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D334935921506%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D4375194%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2&_trksid=p4375194.c101612.m4236&_trkparms=parentrq%3A8f83ef741890ad99189853a8ffff0604|pageci%3A254da8d5-2b48-11ee-8340-e6bd333d4018|iid%3A1|vlpname%3Avlp_homepage Edited July 26, 2023 by Benjamin Bosko
Dirk DeJonghe
Gevapan is B&W film, not suitable at all for E6.
Benjamin Bosko
Ok, thanks for the clarification. I'm new to shooting film, and I was just looking around for some different 16mm reversal stocks. Couldn't find any info on this stock that clearly stated if it was color or b/w. Thanks again. Stocks with the suffix "pan" (short for panchromatic, referring to the sensitivity to colour) are always B/W.
