  1. Sorry, I was doing my "Ray Leota" bit from "GoodFellas" (Bad month? FU Pay me). Humor is "Key" I download One new Joke for everyday I shoot. The Longer the day, the dirtier the Joke :-D
  2. It's Too long, and very static untill the end. Even when your going "hand held" you dont move around very much. Take out the Dubble and tripples and for gods sake, Tighten up the intro! I love to start with an Audio cue, but your takes WAY to long to get going and when I finally do see something, the "payoff" is just a title card? Cut it, cut it to the Bone and you will thank me. (as apposed to hateing me now)
  3. First off, if your still shooting 18 hours later, you may have made the wrong Career Choice. No one should be made to work that long. If you forsee that happening, you need to hire Two Crews, then stagger them in and out. No Money? too bad, break the shoot in two, no time? to bad, this is a small ind. and if you work like that, no one will want to deal with you anymore. Nieve? maybe, Happy You bet! Working? All the time. :-D
  4. Or - Can I get a smooth look using FC Pro and or AfterEffects?
  5. Can anyone suggest an App or Plug in to slow down and speed up footage shot in 60fr a sec. As usual time and money are factors. I will be using Final Cut 5.1 and I also have AfterEffects 6.5.
  6. According to Robert Evans, "The kid stays in the Picture" If it ain't on the page, it ain't on the screen. (he says, waiving a script)
  7. Brian De Palma says the number One problem with independent film, is the use of Non-Actors. A friend, the camrea mans cousin, etc. Use the best Actors you can find, rent, buy, beg, borrow or steal.
  8. Hi, I don't want to be a D#@k, but you should edit your reel down, Way down. And use a different piece of music for the clips, That bluegrass bit pushes me out of the clips I don't care if your "Friend" wrote it or played guitar, this is YOUR reel son. The "rap" is what it is, not much you can do about that except show less of it. The reel's mostly fight stuff, is that what you want to major in? If so take out the bits that are weakest, be brave and Cut to the bone! and if your going to end on the "Bang" gunshot, really End on it. Watch the last Ten seconds of "The French Connection" by William Freedkin
  9. Hi, It looks ok, my advice might seem a little shallow, but I would recommend using a different song. Something without words... Yeh, I know, I said it would sound shallow... Bergmann said, "Film has a rhythm, like music, so why add music to music"? then again, Martin Scorsese, always suprises us with his choices of music, so what the hell do I know... Just reconcider the music, that's all I'm saying.... Good Luck!
