I started out in the biz as a P.A. I've been one of the lucky few who have only worked with professionals don't have a single bad experience and I did it for about a good 3 years. Perfect way too earn your respect and experience.

When I first heard about this software I was really excited. I downloaded the trial version to give it a shot. Have to admit that the program was really complicated at least for me. It almost seems that you have to have a complete knownledge of 3D animation skills to even miss with it. After reading the manual and doing a some tutorials I still had a hard time messing with it. I personally hired an illustrator to do my storyboards, just wanted to give the program a chance. You should download the free trial and see if it works for u.
a friend of mine mentioned that there is a lens adapter for both the dvx100b and ag-hvx200 that lets you use 35mm lens. I heard there is an expensive version and a cheap version about $500.00. can anybody give me the correct info on this and links to official websites? some stats would be cool as well. gracias.
Is it just me or does Net 30 suck? Waiting for a check for 30 days is really painful. I've heard horror storys about P.A. and Grips waiting up to 90 days on sport television. I just dont get it. The work is already rendered its not like post production. Maybe the major factor for me at least is where I live. You would be luck to work 7 days out of the month. Anybody else have any war stories about waiting forever on a check?
thank you for taking the time to anwser my question. doing some research on the pros and cons of shooting on Super 16mm Vs. HD for a future short film and resolution is a main factor. One of the things that was brought to my attension is the actual lens on these cameras and how they absord and distribute light. I assume that Arri has superb lens versus any HD lens and I am not sure if the gate as anything to do with it as well. Once again thank you.
graphic design is perfect for Motion Graphics, DVD Authoring, Posters, Business Cards, Logos, etc it really ties in the industry well. Try picking up After Effects 7, Discreet Combustion and Encore DVD to start off.
well its always best to start from the ground up. I started doing PA work here in San Antonio and every chance I got I would help out the GRIPS and ask tons of questions. After afew years of seeing and working with the same crew they started letting me do afew set ups here and there. Finally I started getting hired as a Grip...always have the attitude of learning...still learning to this day.
what a euphoric display of being lost. the color tones were so subtle yet I felt the displacement of time and solitude. Gorgeous man. I was wondering if you just used natural light and what camera lenses did you use?
