  1. Pritesh, More information would be helpful to us. Are you shooting color or B&W? I just watched a british film called The Mother shot in color Super16 and it did a great job of conveying a feeling of alienation. On the other hand, the film Eraserhead, which was shot in 35 B&W, was key to the development of the visual sensibilities of The Shining. Choosing a stock depends heavily on your projected visual style for the film.
  2. I first loaded a mag when I was just a kid and hanging around a set my father worked on. I've probably loaded over 7500 of them, easy. With enough practice, it becomes second nature. And John's comments on short ends are not to be underestimated.
  3. I used the XL1 to shoot a rather lengthy documentary about a year ago; my arm still hurts.
  4. Hi. This is my first post, but I must agree that eddie could benefit a good deal from a basic text. We do not wish to keep others from asking questions, but it is best to understand the feel of the work before getting into it. Compare it to the drivers manual you read before the test. I hope your film goes well, but don't be impaitent.
