  1. Thats what I do/will do. There is such a huge audance outside of the theatrical area...
  2. The VX2000 and VX2100 are pretty damn good cameras, especialy for the price. I shot a segment for my upcomming extreme sports video on the 2100 and was AMAZED by the quality it put out. Some shots almost looked like 30fps 16mm with bad latitude. A little color correction and It'll look BEAUTIFUL.
  3. I'd sugjest considering shooting S16 and blowing up to 35 if your going to do a theatrical release... Other then that, I cant realy help you with investors and such, sorry.
  4. Google is your friend. http://www.google.com/maps?hl=en&safe=...mp;z=14&t=m
  5. As long as they have corrisponding mounts, yes you can.
  6. Hey I think I've seen that Bayonett K-3 your talkin about... :P
  7. Thanks, that one looks pretty nice. The reason I dont want to use a Hi-Hat is thats another thing to carry around with me, and I want to keep the amount of gear to a minimum. Not quite ;) .
  8. Why not just get a god tripod and save the hassle?
  9. Talk to me about tripods people. I need something that I can get REALY low to the ground, as in less then a foot, so no center tube. I guess that means no spreaders either. I don't wanna blow my budget on a tripod, so I'd like to stay under 400 bucks. I personally have worked with Bogens and LOVE them, although only with video. I know they have removable spreaders, so I am considering one. Thanks, Dory
  10. Nope, never heard of it. Google produced nothing...
  11. Nope. That is probobly the last time I will ever use a digital camera ha.
  12. haha actualy its an old still tripod. probobly about the same age as the K-3 Well if it was Victoria's secret then its not too bad is it? Yeah I was surprised it came so quick... all the way from Florida found a lab, and yes I am going to try to sweet talk/bribe/blackmail Kodak into giving me some discounted film. Although I found some pretty good deals already... No i actually don't think you'd want that to happen :) . Shes not that, uhhhhh, "pretty." Its the bayonet mount. The guy from movie stuff is going to mod it for me so I can use Pentax screw mount lenses once he has finished moving the "office." Hey, can anyone recommend a good tripod?
  13. So today as I was rocking out to Iron Maiden with my little brother guess who shows up but the mail lady. I was thinking it would come via UPS or FedEx, but to my surprise I had a package from "Downes" in Florida! and guess what it was!!?? Thanks to Nate Downes of these forums, I am now a proud owner of a K-3!!!! The light meter even seems to work well!!! I look forward to putting my first hundred feet of film through it. Thanks, Dory PS: No i don't plan on using that tripod, its just what I had on hand right next to me.
  14. I would never let HER touch it. I'd do it though, she has said if i want to risk it i can.
  15. My 2 cents worth... Stay with windows and get Avid Xpress. I am trying to teach myself how to use it, and its a challenge, but I can already tell that it will have a lot more capability then Premiere or anything else I've used. I am an anti-mac/FCP guy, I just hate them both for some reason. Hope that helps a little bit...
  16. Lucky me I have a mom who has her own mini-lab :) .
  17. Home developing B+W reversal shouldnt be hard at all. Negetive may be a bit harder since you'll need to print it. Color, well thats something you oughtta save for the lab. Something you could do is get a 35mm still camera and just shoot alot of pointless pictures and learn to develope those, then move up to some test 16mm, THEN do all your own once your all good and stuff.
  18. The VA is easy, if you just want it for framing. Take a lipstick or helmet cam, play around with placement a little, then fastin it with gaffers tape.
  19. The polarizer will cut through the reflections on the waters surface. If you want the enhanced color, go with a ND and an Enhancer filter. Not sure what order to stack them though...
  20. Can anyone give me names of the Matte boxes they have used?
  21. Also, what would be a good adapter so I could use Pentax lenses with the bayonet mount? I know there made but cant find them.
