  1. Sync-Sound...:) very easy to thread and nice to hand hold as well Cheers Sean
  2. Very, very, good..I have never seen a film print projected from this lens, only a telecine transfer which we were intercuting with an ARRI SR2 with a Zeiss 10-100..transfered on a Sony Telecine The shots matched pretty good in colour, contrast and sharpness, I found the Kinor lens a bit more "smoother?"..and a slight tad warmer.. My conversion to PL mount was done by Les Bosher who did an amazing job with machining a new mount. Cheers Sean
  3. Hi Mark, 1, Its a kinor 16 lens from a kinor camera. I own two of these lenses never had a problem very tack sharp with nice multi-coating, one problem is that on S16 it only works from 50mm up..so you loose a lot on the wider end of the lens 3, No, it is a Kinor mount, 4, I have had my Kinor and Kinor lens converted to S16 and PL mount so I guess a arri mount is possible? 5, Of course! :)...Cheers Sean
  4. The quality of the images you can pull from the Takumar's are excellent, for the price I dont think you can get a better deal..! I was totally suprised as well as the colorist...sharp as a rock and vibrant color Cheers Sean
  5. Hi, The Pentax Takumar M42 lenses work awesome on the K3 and best of all is that you can pick these lenses up on Ebay for very little.. Cheers Sean
  6. Hi Joshua, I agree with Olexandr totally, I own 2 Kinor's and recently had one converted to PL mount & S16 by Les Bosher who did an amazing job.. The camera is very easy to thread, load etc....the primes are tack sharp and the 10-100 lens is pretty amazing!.. Cheers Sean
  7. But, With a very new $$$ price :) I never liked the pictures from the XL1 anyway.. Cheers Sean
  8. Hi Alex, I currently own 2 Kinor16 russian camera's that I purchased really cheap from Ebay, I had one converted a few months ago to S16 and PL mounted by Les Bosher who did an amazing job with the conversion... The most expensive part was the actual EMS shipping from Russia to Australia. The actual camera sells for about 400-500 US and is very quiet, the lens is very tack sharp, I have no complaints about the Kinor it has served me very well. Cheers Sean Morris
