  1. Ok guys! Problem solved. Someone cancelled a time slot right before I checked out Savannah Cinema Post. Thanks.
  2. Yeah I know about Cinema Post in Savannah. They are backed up! Where is a place on the east coast that is fast and reliable?
  3. Savannah, GA i moved to Earth last month. USA
  4. Hey Everyone, I am in a huge pile of poop right now. I need to know where would be best to send my film off to. It's due this upcomming Wednesday and I need a day to edit before. What place is fast and reliable? Film is 16mm Color Negative
  5. Thats some good info I need for this project. Thanks, I'll keep it in mind.
  6. Hey Graham, I was in the same situation as you. My friend was acting in a film and the production needed grips. So I decided why not? I am honestly very happy I made that big step, you learn the most just by working with a crew. Now I am Film major at Savannah College of Art and Design, and learning 24/7. So go in with a good attitude. Work hard.
  7. I thought this forum topic was about BABEL? Guess not. Well, Here's what I thought- The content was interesting, relevant camera work for the style of the story. There were some beautiful "moments". My favorite shot was the japanese girl swinging, something about it was an eye-catcher. It was almost religous. That had to be my favorite "moment". There were some downsides, but let's be honest- this is why "The Departed" won.
  8. Hello, If I convert 16mm to digital, what quality is better? Mini DV or DVC PRO? And when I import to Final Cut Pro, what should my import settings be (for best quality)? My goal is to not "dumb down" the beauty of film with digital editing. Thanks! Michael Palm
  9. Hello everyone, I currently attend SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) studying film. I've been getting interested into the DP side of film more and more. Is there any advise or recommended text you have for a growing filmmaker? Thanks!
  10. Work on shot composition and lens language. And video is bland for a project like this. Could have been more into it if shot on film. Otherwise, good work. Just take that next step.
