  1. Selling the above in excellent condition, glass is clear and this camera has obviously been well looked after over the years or hardly ever used. The kit includes: Original carry case in good shape, no real wear to mention Canon AZ 814 Camera in very good condition Original manual in near mint condition Remote shutter release cable One cartridge of Kodak Tri-X Reversal Film 7266 - Process is pre-paid with Blue Cinetech (UK), card included. This was bought for a project I never started and I've not used it so sold as-is, though I bought it as working fine and in this condition, I can't see there being any problems. The motor runs beautifully. Here are some specs on this lovely machine: Year: 1972-1977 Weight: 1500 g Lens: Canon zoom 1,4 / 7,5 - 60 mm Macro focusing Split Image Focusing Auto / Manual Zoom Frame rates: 18, 24, 40 + single frame Shutter degree: Var. Manual / Auto Exposure Flash contact Fades Remote control socket No sound Made in Japan Asking £75 plus postage. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I accept Paypal or bank transfer. Thanks!
  2. I'm fairly green to all this but just a thought, wouldn't the filter be blocking some of the light into the iris? As in the meter reads the light unfiltered? -Joel
  3. I'm selling this film since I sold my Arri S/B and have no use for it now. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MESE:IT Past date but priced accordingly. Hope someone can use this stuff. -Joel
  4. Ok, thanks for that, it would make sense that it's dry as though it does have trouble, it does turn at a real low speed, say a max of 5fps. I'll not run it again untill it's been looked at. Out of interest, what sort of figure might I be looking at for such a service if I sent it to you? -Joel
  5. I think it is in fact a ST due to the serial but modified with the S/B turret? There's a pic of the serial anyway. I tried running the vari-speed on 12v 3.6a with a transformer but it really draws current and hardly moves at all. I need to have the camera serviced anyway but this is pretty dis-heartening. I tried the govener motor at 7.5v and nothing, just a hum. I'd imagine it'd move a little at least? Here's the pics anyway: The XLR is attached to the power inlet so I assume this is in fact power. Thanks for the manual links, already had a good look through your website, it's really useful! I find myself referring to it often! -Joel
  6. Back to the camera I bought, it seems I lucked out. It's got two Arri standard mounts and one Bayonette mount plus a auto start marking output. No idea how to use this yet but I'm slowly getting the info together. It all seems to be in good condition though I won't know untill I get it to run. From what I've read elsewhere, on the 4 pin XLR pin1 is power and pin4 is ground, is that right? Can I just use 9v with it or will I need to resist it down to 8v 3.6a? I've got one standard vari-speed motor and one 24fps governer motor. Joel
  7. Sorry to hijack the thread, but rather than starting a new one, will this wiring configuration be the same for a Arri 16s, i.e, pin1 power pin4 ground? Also, would 9v work ok for a governer 24fps motor or will it need to be exactly 8v 3.6a? -Joel
  8. Well I decided to go for it after all, looks like a nice little kit and only cost me about £250. It's an Arri 16 ST and comes with two 400' mags, a couple of lenses, matte box, shoulder mount, filters and cables. The eye cup apparently is torn and worse for wear. Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...N:IT&ih=007 Good? Bad? It doesn't have a battery by the looks of it though, how much might I need to pay for one or can I just as easily use my own ni-cad? Thanks for the link too, those movies absolutely influenced my purchase, they look fantastic for such an old machine. Where they shot full frame and cropped? If so they look great for it! If not, how did you do that? ;) I'll want to have it serviced too before I use it, anyone know someplace I can get that done in the UK? Wow, that's a lot of questions! -Joel
  9. I am looking at possably buying one as my first camera and was wondering if anyone had some video clips of how the pictures this camera takes looks? Is it a good first film camera? Also, does anyone know if it can be converted to super16 for future refrence? Thanks, Joel
  10. I personally think that's perfectly reasonable. I'd be shocked to find a similar working SR for a similar price and if it is in fact as delapedated as stated, it sure doesn't look it. There's plenty of salvagable/repairable parts there I recon. If it really is as bad as said. Personally I'm saving for an SR2 but $3,051.99 for an SR1 in any condition on fleabay is rare beans if you ask me.
  11. Hi all, I'm not sure if anyone can help, or even if this issue can be resolved but I have an issue with my Eumig camera. I bought the camera from ebay to get my teeth into shooting with and cutting film. I don't expect amazing results with the camera, but I can't get a decent focus out of the thing. The camera itself is immaculate. It looks like it was never used and even came with it's leather case and bagged accessories so I don't think it's the result of poor handling. THere is no eyepiece focus control on the unit though the horizontal bar in the viewfinder appears sharp, I just can't seem to focus on anything with the lens. I've run a roll of film to see if the lens is ok and it's just the viewfinder that's got problems. I focused as best as I could when shooting to see if it's that bad when projected. I suppose my question would then be, should I expect this from this camera or is something broken? Is it worth getting it repaired and if so, where could I get that done? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
