  1. Hey thanks Ryan. Hopefully John can steer us to or send us a copy. If I get one I will certainly share ;)
  2. I would. Also, pay little attention to the Batch Capture Window as what you are seeing there is very compressed and once it is in your FCP (Project) should look much better. I know it is expensive, but a FCP Tech Agreement is worth every penny ;)
  3. John, I would LOVE to have a copy of your Mini Worrall service Manual! Is it just a few pages.. any chance of getting it scanned? I tried searching via google and could not find it.
  4. Ryan, thanks for taking the time to organize and present all this Geared Head info... talk about finding a niche! You are the keeper of the Wheels!
  5. You have to remember David, Alexander the Great is an 'Artist'... a 'Pioneer'. They're like that
  6. The Mini Worrall can Pan 360 degrees 24/7 365 days a year.
  7. David, as you know it is usually a host of other reasons a crew wants to walk... the $3 was probably just the last straw.
  8. Mercy, Per the rules of this forum, please go to My Controls and change your screen name to your first and last name. The Members thank you in advance. Have a great day.
  9. Either way... it takes a gear to turn the chain. btw... the Mini Worrall is Gear driven on the Pan and Cable driven on the Tilt.
  10. Interesting they left out Intervalometers, especially the Norris, when discussing Film Motion cameras... which is perfect for this effect.
  11. Wrong. It is the (way) he is saying it that is the problem. Did you read how he addressed Mr. Jenson? I'd quote him but the moderators deleted the thread. Give us a break... go on and kiss his a** if that suits you but it does not suit most of us.
  12. Cool to see an earlier generation. Thanks for sharing. As far as the Mini Wirrall goes, I have no idea where the 'mini' comes from. There is nothing mini about it. It is very heavy and handles all 35mm Cameras. Go figure! Maybe it was a marketing scheme to sell it as a 'lighter' model.... Which it is not..... And thankfully so! Sent from my iPhone.
  13. It must be the first generation... The original.
  14. That doesn't look like any Worrall Head I have ever seen (esp. the Gear Selector). It looks more like a Mini Mitchell. Does it really say Worrall on it? Is it a Proto-type? Here is what my Worrall looks like.
  15. Here is a Filter Holder I had built for my 5" Capping Shutter. Problem - It is awkward stacking Filters while using a Capping Shutter. You can't get the Shutter close enough to the Lens because of the Matte Box (even with the Shade pulled) and how do you Bellow from the Capping Shutter to the Lens? Hmmm. Solution - The Capping Shutter Filter Tray with Bellows. Here it is. It is made from Aluminum. It holds 3 4x5 Trays and an 138 Round. Screws secure the Filters in place. The whole rig hangs on the back of the Capping Shutter. The Bellows velcros onto the Shutter and stretches around the lens. This has made Time Lapse shoots a joy. It is very easy to pull and change Filters individually as well as pull the entire rig at once to set/ adjust the Frame. My wife did a fantastic job on the Bellows. It is very durable. Sorry for the lousy quality of the (iphone) pics .
  16. Boy... I did not mean to be insulting... no need to take it that way. Sheeesh. How do you know when I transferred from Camera Op to DP anyway?! Because I didn't.. I went from Gaffer to DP and (later) worked a TV Series as Operator. You've got the wrong David  Anyway  , if you see Rufo or Renee, the Balikas Bothers (the Grips), please tell them I said hello. They did a great job and I really liked those guys! I also miss the Scuba Shack in Subic Bay... what a great place to hang out. Have a great day Boy.
  17. Me too. I am out.. especially with the revelations of the recent "scientific" emails discussing how to (suppress) all the data showing that this is all B.S.
  18. What may be awash to your eye may be an E or t.7 to Camera. Hold on a second... Boy?... didn't you operate B-camera for me on Doomsdayer.... we shot that in Subic Bay, Philippines? Is that you???
  19. Step one : Set up a Test testing a similar Flower under the same Lighting you would use for the shoot and time the length (Duration) of the sequence you wish to squeeze. Step two: Consult a Steele Chart
  20. I did that when I first started way back when but it is useless.. as David M. says you are as good (or better off in my opinion depending on your experience) to simply guess. Get a get a Spot Meter ;)
