Pentacon DDR 500mm PL f5.6 for sale. Glass in very good shape. This is the MC version. PL mount. lens is tested and shoots true and accurate. front lens hood is damaged and bent slightly. Well the scarlet is 4K at 24p. So Epic 4K and scarlet 4K at the same RAW compession are the same render times and same size files. Epic @5K would take longer than Scarlet 4K.

I was thinking the same as Mark, besides this I enjoyed it, beautiful shots interesting compositions, gorgeous clean color. My instant thought while watching was the Jack Daniels scene and gun scene feel a tad setup for the camera and caught some annoying motion wobble when camera waving back and forth. These couple things do kinda take me out of it and feel ameture. This is much better than most reels, and I would want to see more however.

gregg, yes good find. I have had my eyes on these. Seller hasnt messaged me back, Im wondering what quality these are and who did em. They appear to be skins over the original lenses. I would prefere new housing altogether, although 10K$ is a good price for any PL contax. They have a return policy almost worth buyng and trying out a few days. I am also looking at Eastern Enterprises as they do conversions.

Matteo, I enjoyed your reel, Good idea to do little trailers from various projects I didn’t find this untraditional or confusing. They are not too short at all, I would’t want to watch too much. I like Traces the best.. Overall you seem good with faces and people, especially how they move toward or away from us. Your compositions on longer lenses look more cinematic to me than some of the close wide stuff. Everything felt a bit claustrophobic but well concieved. I liked the ending of Zima with the flowers and all. --

Hey Kevin, I wanted to just throw in my two cents respectfully as a working cinematographer. You should seek the best you can always, no doubt. I have worked for free for friends and been paid back in accolades, great footage, pats on the back etc. After some years working for little money I realized If a producer cant come up with 500$ then they cant make a film. Its difficult my friend.. Much harder than working a few extra shifts at burger hut to pay your crew something. I'm not telling you what to do and respect your position! I would suggest; Get some money. Anyone can do this.
