  1. So I guess even digital was used in ARGO...I personally dont like alexa as the main tool of cinematrographers. was the turkey mosque scene shot on film? was the plane landing in tehran shot on film?
  2. I found Munich cinematography really visually good.I found the Mood to be fitting every scene.I am a Film enthusiast,So can you cinematrographers please tell me about MUNICH cinematography. I read that kaminski is against Digital intermediate and he preferred to do photochemically do colouring to the film rather than digitally. How did he do such good colouring photochemically? Is photochemical process forgotten in hollywood and International cinema? Like This Quote MultiQuote

  4. So your saying this movie is a American propaganda for war...Well could be.. But the movie has a good cinematography
  5. Maybe my opinion but sky fall fails to deliver the bond power..I just feel like going back in time and watch tommorow never dies in big screen. skyfall cinematrography for a big budget movie is unattractive hideous.ALL thanks to arri alexa digital. Bond girls were sloppy and ugly.and the villain girl who was preety died. no gadgets arrogant bond with no emotions. javier bardem as villan was good.
  6. I think Skyfall cinematrography was ugly for a Big budget bond movie..if movies are going the arri alexa way I don't want to watch them any more..javier bardem was good villan acting but the movie was a total flop to me...
  7. Thanks phil,I will try to get some program. whats your opinion on colour finesse?
  8. Hi guys,I am from India.I have always been a admirer of film and good cinematographers,I have always seen they present a very artistic work to the public and colouring is one of them.colour correction might not be needed every time but it certainly can help the mood and feelings of particular scene.I have yet to shoot on film(arri 2c). I saw a couple of videos on vimeo on 5d mark 2 and theres lot of pro movies out there.I noticed most of them do get help from a pro colourist. I have been fascinated in programs like lustre and colour finesse.can anybody guide me that what I should do after shooting stage 24fps in 5dmark 2 and editing. Is it possible to do coour correction on your own are the softwares helpful in learning?

  10. I watched ARGO , I thought it was in same time frame as MUNICH and had got good rating, Even though I dont admire too much of F word on screen,It was a good reenacment of the real life incident.I think the cinematrography, editing was quite good.I dunno which airport they choose but the shots were great especially the airplane scenes of landing an takeoff. The istanbul mosque wide angel shot was short but breathtaking in a way,you can feel the mediterenean atmosphere. I think the Argo cinematography is real cinema especially to film lovers beacuse of its Use of Super 8mm,16mm,and ofcourse 35mm..I was wondering what are everybodys thought on the film and use of super 8 and 16mm and blowing it up in a 35mm wide screen with very few grain...does that mean 8mm has possibility to blow up? what are your thoughts on Bens direction?
