  1. Does 1080i 24p exist? I was reading an article in post, and I'm assuming it's a mistake, but can you record 1080i 24p? What would be the purpose?
  2. Great! Did you just take stills or use video and undercrank/use an intervelometer? Aaron
  3. Well 720p is probably going to take up the least memory but 1080i 24p and 1080i 24pA are better looking formats, though they require more light to shoot in.
  4. It's been awhile since I've seen it, but Hotel Rwanda maybe? Probably not as the top ten, but maybe a runner up.
  5. Thanks guys. But then what about 24p and 30p? Aren't they 24 and 30 frames per second? I'm guessing it's cause they're progressive scanning and that allows all the scan lines to be reproduced to create one frame? And is 60i = 30p? Thanks Aaron

    60i help

Hi All, I'm feeling rather dumb today and need to ask a basic question. Is 60i=30 frames per second? Does the 60 represent fields or frames? I'd always assumed that the 60i meant 60 frames per second but with interlaced scanning, but I just read something that made me think that the 60 refers to the fields. SOrry, again, I'm feeling dumb. Thanks, Aaron
  7. The 100A is an amazing camera. It gives great, professional control (iris, shutter speed, manual and motor zoom, auto and manual focus etc). It also allows for 24, 30, and 60 fps recording, though I haven't really tried the 60 and was having some trouble finding how to shift over to it. It allows 4x3 and 16x9 recording, and its overall, just a great camera. .... And I just realized I'm 6 years late on this reply.
  8. Loved it! Looks beautiful, I guess thats what you get when you're shooting 35 mm. Too bad I'm stuck with little old 1080 and DV :) Ahh well. Did you use any artificial light or was that straight daylight?
  9. Also, while this is not something you can do in post, having the right lighting can make consumer equipment produce professional-looking results.
  10. Nice. I think you might want to cut down on the transparent shots, and possibly also find a different titling. Looks great though. Love the 100A!
  11. I haven't been able to get my hands on RED, but I was wondering if the ISO is adjustable or are we just talking about using these ISO's for calculations? Thanks, Aaron
