  1. Don´t you forget Opel, even worse than vw. Shoting a feature right now with both aaton and arri. no problem. A camera is just an engine moving film, cant we talk lenses instead :P andreas
  2. Hi Svetlana! I made a feature with the canon acv-235 and sony 750 this spring. Use it is easy, the problem is to find it. you need a accuscene finder or similar to correct for the sqeeze and upsidedown image. Try to work with ziess digiprimes they are superior. Andreas
  3. Thanks alot for all helpful input, really! I just used the dubble rod system on my last feature when I was working with the canon acv-235, and thet was a long beast as well, imagine it with the HJ21. FYI I´m shoting sony 900/3 Andreas
  4. Hi! I´m in preproduction on a mini tv-series and my plan is to use the pro35adapter with the optimo zoom 17-80 t2.2. I have shoot alot with the adapter and primes but never with zoom. Is there anyone of you guys that can share some info on this combination. Andreas
  5. I´m shooting a feature right now with the acv-235 and fujinon primes with sony750. The acv-235 converter is good and I´m really happy to shoot video in 2.35 without cropping the image. It does make the camera very long but it´s not really a problem, even when I use the zoom it´s ok. Optical it performes well with no artifacts. I would prefer to shoot with ziess or canon primes because of focus issues. My 1st ac really start to hate the fujinons, I`m not gonna get into that discussion here myself but I will have him to post his thoughts about it. Anyway, the fujinon perform well. Image will be upsidedown and you need a monitor that can handle that and the anamorphic. I recomend the accuscen finder on the camera if you can find it, thats a great tool. Andreas
  6. Thanks Mitch!! I will start do tests this week together with fujinon prime and canon acv-235 Andreas
  7. Hi! I have HD feature coming up, and I´m planning to have a zoomlens as a complement to the primes, together with the canon acv-235. I have been offered a HJ21 but not the cinestyle version that I have used before. My question is, can I expect the same optical performance from this regular HJ21? Or is it just for ENG Andreas
  8. Hi! another question about HJ21 Does anybody know if there´s a optical differance between the the regular HJ21 and the HJ21 cinestyle, or is it just the design that differ. I wanna have a zoom as a complement to my canon primes for my next feature and have just been offer the regular HJ21. Any thoughts Andreas
  9. I`m shooting a feature right now on fuji eterna 250D, 250T and 500T in 35mm. First time i shoot fuji for about 8 years, must say I´m surprised of the progress fuji done , fine grain, low contrast, almost pastell. they all cut well together. Andreas.
  10. Hello everybody. This week I made a major test between imx50 dxcam and digibeta 790. and i thought that you guys might be intrested in the result. I did test the cameras at first in factory settings and then in diffrent modes. The battle between the two cameras were very close, the only big diffrens was in contrast. from 0-100% the dxcam had nearly one stop more(thats alot). it also had less noise in the blacks. I didn´t do any greenscreen tests, but I´m quite shure that the 790 will outperformance the dxcam here, because it´s not compressed. Andreas
