  1. Hi, I'm very interested in the low mode bracket and low mode support if its still available. Can you email me at jon.chema@gmail.com? Thanks!!
  2. I personally am a sucker for Angenieux glass. Just messed around with the Alura the other day and the two are identical around T3, however when you open the Alura up to T2.6 it starts ghosting weird and is a hair softer than the Optimo. Again, just my opinion. The two are very close.
  3. Rule of thumb, flat, soft frontal source on female talent is often the most flattering as it minimizes shadows on the face. Male talent can be lit more "sidey" as emphasized harsher shadows can convey masculinity as it highlights facial features. I'd light with one of your soft boxes you mentioned directly frontal and throw a 4x4 of 1/4 or 1/2 white diffusion in front of it. Flag the light if you'd like to increase fall off (depending on your background) Oh and a good MUA is critical to have.
  4. Without seeing any BTS pics it could be a number of things. I know from reading an article that they shot the majority on location. If I had to guess I'd say they either bounced daylight in through a window with a 12x or 8x frame of ultra bounce and ND'd the window behind the talent. Another possibility could have been shooting 2.5k + HMI light(s) through a large frame of diffusion directly to the talent's left. Most likely the scene was lit.
  5. Man other than the song- I think it was decently shot. I mean $100 budget. You've gotta be kidding me. Everything was lit solid throughout. Sorta flat but again for the budget decent. My biggest critique is the car scene. I would have lit it a little more subtly. Perhaps lit with a couple Rosco light pads gaffed to the roof of the car, and then diffused the crap out of. Just my two cents. Checked out your reel and you definitely have a great eye.
