  3. This maked me think of great soviet film director Alexander Medvedkins cinema train. He had whole studio in it from cameras to printing lab. They did go aroud country on rails and make films about people. At the end they screened finished for the same folks that they shoot for the movie. An other great filmmaker Chris Marker did make brilliant film about Medvedkin: http://chrismarker.org/chris-marker/the-last-bolshevik-by-chris-marker/
  4. Thanks Simon! That is great tip.
  5. Hello, Im having trouble whit my two Eyemo cameras. They are 71-C and KF-2 models. 71-C runs well whit out door but when I put the door on it runs too slow. Door must jam the spools or pole but I don see any marks on spools or heads of poles. Also when I put it on it dosnt feel like it touches somethin it shouldunt touch. So Im relly buzzled by this. Problem whit KF-2 is that its take-up spool spins too slow letting film to go loose. I know I should take these in overhault but I dont have the money right now. In Finland we have a few camera shops, whics are naturally spezialised on mechanical still cameras, and one movie gear rental shop. Maybe some one of these could help me but in meantime (while I find the place an money) can anybody suggest anythin what I could do my self? Final question: can anyone tell me what kind of oil I shoul put in these cameras? All input is appreciated!
  6. Thank you all for your responses! I would love to have a optical blow-up but its too expensive for my project. Also Andec told me that 2K might be better option anyhow. That might be true considering this blow-up but i just love the all the way analog process. Thanks Joerg for the link to the Studio Gamma. Its nice to know there are still these kind of places out there. GammaRayDigital and MyMovieTranfer seems like good places but i don't want to ship my films overseas. I forgot to mention im from Finland. I think i will make a test whit Andecs 2K and see how it looks. Does anyone know is there any ScanStations in europe? - Juha
  7. Hi there, I have 15 years old super8 Kodachrome 40 films that I need to scan, edit and eventually to make 35mm print. Im wondering how much I should spend on transfer? Transfer whit FlachscanHD would be cheap and the clips I have seen are quite good but considering 35mm blow-up should I have 2K transfer whit professional CCD scanner? Im also considered about high contras of the Kodachrome. Can cheaper alternatives cope whit it? I would appreciate any comments on subject! Best regards, Juha Mattila
  8. Hello, I have this nice resently overhaulted Cooke Speed Panchro 25mm f2 ser. III and I would like to trade it to the Cooke Speed Panchro 50mm or 40mm or even 32mm. Im from Finland and I would prefer offers from europe.

  11. Hello, Im trying to find right film for indoors shoot of bronze casting process. Im going to use tungsten lights so you would thin that tungsten is right option but Im concerned that it will change the color of melted bronze. So would tungsten to daylight gels front of the lamps and daylight film be better option? I think Im going to use 200/250 speed film because I think 400 cant handle the brightness of melted bronze. Im shooting 16mm. I would be grateful for any comments. Kind regards, Juha Mattila
