Hi everyone, I'm currently trying to come up for a transportation solution for an Aaton XTR setup. I'm currently abroad and unable to take any measurements, which is why I'm asking you for help. Thanks for your thoughts, Satsuki, some good points! I actually just found some places to get the 3 inch cores for the takeup. Can anyone confirm that I can still use regular 400ft loads if using those 3 inch cores?

Hi everyone, recently purchased an Aaton XTR Prod and got offered two 800ft Mags instead of the regular 400ft Mags. Considering what I intend to shoot (ethnographic/experimental films), having the possibility of shooting 800ft - given the lab manages to stick two 400ft rolls together - would be ideal. Yet I've read that if you want to shoot regular 400ft rolls - which will be the case most of the time - one would still need those 3 inch cores. Only problem: where do I get those 3 inch cores, since Kodak only delivered them with their 800ft rolls. To sum things up: would you go with the 800ft Mags or is it not worth the hassle? Again, most of the time I'd shoot regular 400ft rolls. Though it would be nice to have the possibility to shoot 22min if needed. Hey everyone, I'm selling a huge Tiffen/Formatt 4x4 Filter Set. The filters come in a handy and sturdy metallic carrying case with 10 individual slots. Also included are five 4x4 pouches. Filters included: - Tiffen ND9 - Tiffen ND6 - Tiffen ND3 - Tiffen Black Pro Mist 1/2 - Tiffen Black Pro Mist 2 - Tiffen Black Pro Mist 3 - Tiffen Black Pro Diffusion/FX 1 - Tiffen Haze 1 - Tiffen Polarizer - Formatt 85B All filters are in excellent condition, without scratches or any other signs of heavy use. Hi Jay, thanks for the quick reply. That's what I thought, just wasn't sure if anything "strange" would happen that would make the entire image unusable. Guess I'll just have to careful regarding the image circle of the focal length, but as long as I end up with a 4:3 image in the end I'm happy.

Hey there, beginner's question, just for clarification: if I were to use a N16 lens on a S16 camera (S16 gate installed and all), what would the image look like? Could I simply use a 4:3 mask in post to end up with a 4:3 image? Of course, I would have wasted the extra information that S16 would give me. Simply asking because S16 lenses are currently out of my budget, while N16 lens are more affordable and I generally dig the 4:3 aspect ratio anyway. Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone, found a couple of exposed Kodak Tri-X reversal film (7278) and Kodachrome 40 (Type A) in my attic. Are there any labs that still offer to develop these stocks? Any help is greatly appreciated! Best, Alex
