  1. Also have two 100' rolls of Foma Double Super8. Always kept thinking of things to do with it, load it into my kaccema carts, find a DS8 camera, never got around to it, so still in the freezer.
  2. The only true 360 view camera setup I've seen was similar to cinerama, multiple cameras each covering a segment. Incidentally, I've seen that one in action before, and yes, it looks like crap.
  3. Indeed, hearing of this gives me hope that somewhere they'll find a copy of the 1915 Golem and the 1917 sequel to it, as I really want to see the original Horror trilogy reunited again.
  4. I had one, sold it awhile ago. Pretty good camera, uses standard C-mount lenses.
  5. Ok, update, dug up a B&H 16mm viewer splicer and rewinds, one of the rewinds has a broken handle. I have a second B&H splicer as well.
  6. I am tempted to sell my Filmo 70DL as well, with three lenses, if I get a high enough offer for it.
  7. Going through my pile of gear, I realized, man, I have way too much stuff. So, going to see if anyone here would be interested. Make me an offer if you are. 16mm: Bell and Howell 200EE magazine camera in good shape. Needs new batteries for the light meter. Has included an 80A filter. Bell and Howell 70A Filmo (2, one is good shape, one not, I'd suggest taking them together so you have one for spare parts) DeVry QRS, pretty good camera, sharp image. Just don't need so many cameras Super8: Vivitar 100, good camera, but the battery terminals need work so it only works plugged into the wall at the moment. Needs a cleaning too. 8mm: A kodak 8mm that I had as a throw-in with a polaroid I did want. Needs a new solium cell and will be right as rain.
  8. Right on both counts. By underexposing, you'll have larger grains, but by pushing it you will not prevent proper exposure, so you'll get that look. A lot of 80's movies were done just that way, because the filmstocks then were not fast enough for the look, so they push processed them. And yes, printing is the process of getting the negative to a positive.
  9. I'm just going by what the IMDB has listed, which has those 3 filmstocks + genesis listed.
  10. Same way I do it, save I don't need the second transfer as I have a sync block and audio recorder. but finding a source of 16mm magnetic tape is proving to be an issue.
  11. Partly, also partly shot on 35mm V2 50D, 200T and 500T. Which segments were Genesis I do not know. I do know, however, the movie is hilarious.
  12. If you're ever in Tampa, FL go to the Museum of Science and Industry. Their IMAX projection room has a glass wall to the back, so you can see EVERYTHING!
  13. Well, one trick I've used before is to shoot with V2 100T on Super16 and push process it one step. From there it is all on the printer, and yes, they can print it in that 80's harshness. I did some tests trying to replicate the 70/80's slasher movie, and using the V2 stocks in a smaller format (16mm for a 35mm 80's look, Super8 for a 16mm 80's look) can come pretty close.
  14. The 1920 film-out runs about $450/minute in my experience, so you'd be looking at several thousand for the final film-out.
  15. I have seen one of the cameras for sale once, passed on it tho. It was used in Japan for their Astrovision system so the guy told me.
  16. Good to know. I'd not looked this up in ages.
  17. That list is a bit inaccurate The one in St Pete is right, but the one in Jupiter is incorrect in that the screen is not curved anymore. A bit of a let-down when I went to see SW3 on it.
  18. Alright, resampled some of the bits, and re-exported it as a .mov file now. In the process of uploading it now.
  19. I do not think either camera is shipping yet, so I highly suspect few people would know the answers. Now, having used both the EX1 and HVX200, I would call it a draw. The EX1 has a longer runtime, but the HVX200 has a nicer picture, in my opinion.
  20. I also recommend the Chinon Pacific 200/8XL and 200/12XL as well. Chinon is a brand name often overlooked despite having a quality image, so is easy to aquire for a reasonable pricetag.
  21. let's aim for 2pm at Stardust, does that work with everyone? That way we avoid the morning crowd. And thank you to all. My wife bought me some movies, a mixture of Mel brooks, Kevin Smith and Jeff Dunham.
