  1. Would I be wrong if I considered flashing as an alternative to push processing? Different effect for sure, but you can rate the stock faster in a way, right?
  2. From how I understand the process, pushing only raises your midtones, so the shadows still fall off where they would on 500T. Having a truly faster stock would be a nice advantage, considering. Although pre-flashing the might lift the shadows, I'm not sure.

  4. I've got to admit it's an interesting look. If you know your filters are going to get damaged, it makes sense to keep the price down. My only idea would be just to shoot a color card before you use it, balance it out in post like you already have for the most part. I'd also recommend a stronger ND to maintain a 180 degree shutter angle, depending on if you're shooting high speed or not.
