It would be interesting to see if applying the Zone System from still photography and exposing for the shadows and under developing to preserve the detail in the highlights while maintaining detail in the shadows. No reason why that wouldn't work. I'm currently trying out their 35mm 400asa film which is sold in 50m rolls in a Cameflex camera. Seems to be running through the camera just fine.

Looking for a Cameflex Techniscope 2 perf 400ft magazine.

You can see below the claws there is an oval shaped hole--this is for changing the 35mm claw travel from 2 or 4 perf (Only the 2 perf cameras have this, so an easy way of distinguishing them from other Cameflex cameras). The main magazine drive gear, however, does not change speed so you need the special Cameflex magazines (notice the two bumps on the motor side of the magazine which houses the reduction gearing) that allows the film to turn at 2 perf. Those gears are reversible and the camera and magazines can be switched to run at 4 perf, too. The viewfinder comes with a factory mounted ground glass mask for 2 perf which can be removed. The film gate 2 pef mask slides into the filter slot. As it happens, I received this camera in almost new condition. I doubt very much film, if any, was ever shot through it. The image is amazingly steady judging from the tests I've done so far. There were a few people who did aftermarket conversions to 2 perf which involved changing the gearing within the camera, but as far as I know those are not capable of being swapped over to 4 perf but they are able to take standard magazines. -

Sure, I'll post a few photos and a screen grab from some film I shot with it. -
Camera in decent condition and the motor runs the camera well. Standard academy 35mm. I can provide a video of the camera pulling film through it. One of the cameflex lens ports has had two pointed grub screws added and I don't know if they can be backed out so consider one port not functional. Available for pickup in Brussels or shipping at buyer's expense. 950€

good luck with it Oliver. I can see the attraction as the camera had a lot of potential...super16, pl mount, and this video tap system that looks factory. it was going cheap, too.

I had spied this camera for sale on the BBlist in the Uk and they were saying it was in Poland and then it showed up on Ebay in Italy and also on Camermarket.EU. I inquired about it but they couldn't tell me anything about it. I saw the videos of it running, too but I had doubts about it as it looked so beat up. If you can send it back, I would. Did you buy it through the Ebay Italy ad?

Well, I wondered who bought that one. Looks to me like the motor is dead or at least has some issues. These motors either work or they don't. The motor most likely can be repaired by AZ Spectrum but you have to be patient with them and there isn't anyone in Europe that I know of that repairs these motors. There is a new one being offered by Aapo Lettinen that would work well on this camera. Is that PL mount an adapter or is it hard fixed to the camera? Looked like it might screw into the C-mount. Do yourself a favor and have the camera mechanism and magazines serviced before running this camera. Good luck.

Hi, Looking to buy a 16mm Cameflex magazine for the CM3 camera. I'm located in Brussels so buying in the EU is the easiest. Steve.

Not sure why the sr2 hs would be any quieter given it’s the same mechanism as the sr1 hs, just rebadged as an sr2 -

Looking for a Cameflex Techniscope 2 perf 400ft magazine.
Steven Jackson replied to Steven Jackson's topic in 35mm
The camera is set up for techniscope so it needs to be a pull down of 2 perf. It has a different gearing from a standard magazine. -
Looking for a 2 perf magazine for my Cameflex CM3 Techniscope. Holler if you have one to sell. Cheers, Steve.

Hi, Is anyone familiar with what type connector this is? I'm expecting to remove it and find two wires but does anyone have experience with this motor? It's the 8V version so I'm hoping to use my Arri 16s battery pack. Thanks Steve.

I have two XTR magazines for sale. They are untested and need new belts but do turn freely and easily. I don't own an XTR camera to test these on, so sold as is with no guarantees or warranties. I'm located in Brussels, Belgium and can accommodate a pickup at my house or I can ship at your expense. I can also sell these separately, although I'll make a better deal for the pair. I'm looking for 2000€ for both or 1100€ each. Includes throat covers and a padded carrying case.
