Hello, David. I hope you're well. That's all I wanted to say. Except to point out that your innocuous comment on Vertigo led to the Citizen Kane work (which I think is book-length!) and I have you and no one else to thank for it, so I dedicate it to you. You may say big deal, so what, what a pretentious idiot, but I don't mean it that way and I don't think that way. I hope you understand the spirit of this message. It will be only my second "book" (of 17) that I have dedicated to someone, so to me at least it's an important point. You are a kind soul, and we definitely need more of those. Encouragement is so important, even if only the slightest bit. If the Kane work is ever put into any other format, I will inscribe it to you : unless, that is, you don't want to be associated with me. Ha. I can understand THAT well. But I'm a calm person now. Your kindness was important to me; it came at the right time. Thank you.
