  1. Is there any adaptor that enables mounting of Broadcast EFP/ENG lenses on Mark2/Mark3 Canon 5D
  2. i need information on shooting in absolute darkness(worst case situation).are infra red camera the best option?
  3. The SMPTE standard (196M) is for 16 ftLamberts (as David says) but the tolrance is a little looser - screen centre can vary between 12 ftL and 22 ftL, with edges not less than 75% of the centre reading (and in no case less than 10 ftL). well out here in india the centre measure's at most 7-8 ft lm and the sides about 5.and i'm talking about the previe screen of the most widely used lab. how does one compansate for this while shooting?
  4. hi, are there any standards for lamp luminance(in lamberts) for screen projector :)
  5. I'm talking about the same print..the print that i made in technicolor bangkok looked superb at there lab projection .. but in indian lab projection it's not half as close..
  6. while shooting movement over chroma screen..will shutter angle help in terms of a crisper key?
  7. is thus an Arii ST make?
  8. bingo..just go ahead and shoot........'18 will stand by u
  9. educate me ...please whats the unit of measurement for lab projector ..luminance et all..?
  10. will the size of the cinema hall make any difference...i mean the projection distance from the projector to the screen..?
  11. i just made a test print ....infact 2 test prints..one was printed in india and the other one at tecnicolor(bangkok).. the same negative was used for the print. the bangkok print looked absolutely brilliant in there lab projection...print was 1.85 and was viewed on a 1.85 screen. the same print seen through a 1.85 gate in the indian lab projection(the screen here is bigger so there are bands on the side) does not look half the same...the sharpness has disapperead it seems... any thoughts?
  12. i have shot 7218 xtensivly in the last one year....it is tailor made for digital post..on the other hand, even it is handeled optically it is not at all "grainy"...emulsion is made of grain.... it all depends on what format you are finally going to project?
  13. any views on arri 16ST ??? can this be converted to S16
  14. any opinion on 7212 shot daylight with or without 85 filter? is there a filter other than 85 doin the same thing(812 or something..?)
  15. a film called Baraka by Ronn Fricke..... he modified the camera himself for the film...( hope i spelled the name(s) correctly) he will be the best person to solve these issues ..try this... read ur exposure for the darkest part of the shot....read ur exposure for the brightest part of the shot....set the exposure for the darkest part and then plonk ND filters .... if u take out ND filters periodically...u should be able to match the jumps in edit.. i feel.. how many ND's u 'll need to plonk is a question
