  1. This could bee very confusing if used in a film camera.

    180° Image Rotation

The relay design of the KIPON 0.7x PL > PL Adapter cause a 180° rotation of the image before it is projected onto the camera sensor. This can be easily compensated by flipping the image in the camera settings to properly rotate the image and ensure natural orientation.

  2. I have a Blackmagic Video Assist 5" 12G and had a similar issue. The monitor would turn on but would not receive a signal from the SDI In port, but it would work fine if I used the HDMI in (again I was using it on a film camera for video playback). After a lot of headaches I send the monitor to the local BM dealer they opened it up and saw that the SDI in port had been disconnected from the board. Apparently they had to replace the whole board, thankfully it was still under warranty and now it works fine.

  3. Great ideas, thanks! I will definitely test them out.

    1) Would you shine a light through the filter holder or would that be an overkill?

    2) When you're saying click as fast as possible I assume you mean not click the normal shutter (front release) but actually pull the side release lever towards P, so you're doing single frame exposures?

    3) Would opening the lid (door) for a split second in the middle of the roll with 50D be something interesting in terms of flashing the film a bit?

    BTW very cool intervalometer!

  4. @Dom Jaeger Strangely on my Bolex H16 I can close the door with the loop formers closed.

Do you know what would happen if:
    1) I left the loop formers closed?
    2) I took out the pressure plate?

I am looking for effects that I can experiment with my Bolex. Just some gimmicky effects that could be used on music videos and what not. But just trying to get a list of things that I would test first before actually rolling any film.

    Thanks a lot!

  5. Fitting it In a Movi is quite tricky because the arms are a bit too short. That’s why most people use a Ronin 2.

Charnwoodmovements has this special plate that you remove the viewfinder from the camera and screw in a cheese plate on top to make the camera not so tall. I think he calls it a video top plate. I strongly recommend it I’ve used more times than I can remember that makes gimbal work much easier. But again you have no viewfinder so it’s good to have a good Video Tap.

  6. I have an XTR Prod and I am super happy with it.

    1) You can get a  V-mount Adapter from: https://elokuvakonepaja.com/product/aaton-power-adapter/

          It has 3x 2-pin lemo outputs + 1 D-tap

    2) I got my video tap upgraded by Visual Products again super happy with it. From what I understand pretty much all video tap upgrades use the same internal camera its just how they fit it in XTR body. AZ Spectrum just had a crazy long waiting list.

    3) Check out charnwoodmovements on IG - https://www.instagram.com/charnwoodmovements/

          -Diffrent type of cheese plates

          -R/S module - that works with a AMC-1
