Gentlemen, gentlemen ... don't bash the manufacturer just because you couldn't balance the rig with the camera. Personally, I think any "handheld" stabilizer is a waste of time (and energy.) Your results WILL be much better when combined with the Smooth Shooter system. Dave

Those new accessories look quite cool. Combine the camera and the new accessories with my Gold Steadicam rig ... and I'll look more like Robocop than I already do. Dave

Hi there! I was wondering if there is a big difference between the older Harrison film tents than the new ones? I have the opportunity of buying an older one (5 years old) but it's never been used. It doesn't have the double elastic sleeves, but everything else seems the same. If there is a big difference, I'll get one of the new ones. Thanks! Dave

Hi everyone, So, if I understand correctly ... lenses with the 41mm ARRI mount CAN be used with the 54mm PL/Bayonet adapter, but you will have to use the set screws to hold the lens firmly in place? (Otherwise my M-One focus motor will spin the lens loose.) Dave

Well, I went for the interview ... and the position was for assisting the DoP with still shots for the lab, helping out the camera department, etc etc. Looked good, but I couldn't afford to be away from my business for 20 days (it was a volunteer position.) Plus he told me I was over-qualified!!! (felt good after that statement.) He (Phil Parmet) asked if I wanted to come as an observer, which I want to FOR SURE. I'm pretty excited. Hey Matthew, I'm curious too about the tracking shot around the group. How did you get the shot so that it appears they remain motionless? (I'm looking at it frame-by-frame, and I think there's more to the process than just ramping and using a plugin.) Come to think of it ... it almost looks like you're using a time-slicing rig. Dave

Hi everyone. I've been working in video for the past 8 years, and I'm wanting to make a move into film. One of my weaknesses is lighting for film & drama. I'd like to learn more about this type of lighting, and wondered if any of you could recommend a great course, books, etc etc that could help me get started. I'd appreciate any help. Dave
