  1. Freshly updated demo reel. The harshest of criticism would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Hi all, Just finished my new cinematography reel which I also edited myself. Its a mix of commercial, fashion, documentary, and a bit of narrative work. Id like to be doing more narrative and doc work so I tried to push it in that direction, while keeping it light and fun with a good mix of commercial work to appeal to potential clients. Would love some feedback. I feel proud of my work but I also feel like I am lacking a certain polished, high cinema look that I am constantly pushing for and watching other work to try to understand how to achieve. Anyways would love to h

  6. Hey everyone! It's my first time posting here! My name is Marc and I'm an aspiring Cinematographer! I came here to post my work (Demo Reel) and It would be awesome to hear some opinions, feedbacks, critiques etc. All of the footage were shot with DSLRs. I'm serious about this stuff so I need to get better. I appreciate it! I'm also posting still images of what I recently shot! I guess you can just critique on the lighting for those ones. Do I have what it takes? Or should I just go and pursue other areas of film or in general? thanks!! Demo Reel: http://tinypic.com/r/sdzos1/8
  7. Here is my reel. I would love to hear your thoughts!
  8. Any advice on the structure of a reel? Is it best to lump footage from one project next to each other or sprinkle it throughout? I have heard little tips like start out with a shot of a beautiful girl to show you know how to make an actress look good, etc. Any other good rules of thumb? Thanks guys, Joshua Jones
  9. I'm in the process of cutting a new demo of my narrative work. I am curious on how others consider the presentation of work when cutting a demo reel. Last year's demo can be seen HERE. It was cut with the intention of drawing in small jobs, shorts and student work. It did ok. I considered a lot of the basics in this reel: Strongest stuff (the hook) in the first 30seconds. Keep it under 3min. Very few will watch the whole thing...etc. I'm always looking for ways to make it better. My body of work doesn't have a lot of fancy action sequences, flying jib shots, or slow-mo, but rather Dra
