  2. Hey guys! My first post here ;) Currently I'm prepping to shoot my first short-film. I've worked as a DP on commercials and documentaries, but never on narrative film. The script I'll be shooting involves a great amount of tension on the characters almost from beginning to end, so, along with the director (we've worked together a billion time, also as a directing duo) I'm deciding how to bring this tension to the camera. Hard sunlight hitting the subjects face on a low-key enviroment is a great option, but I'm seeking ways to create this tension/contrast through color/color mixing. "
  3. Hi.. I been shooting some stuff with an A7SII in Colombia in summer, and sometimes the camera turnned off cause of temperature. now Im going to Africa, to shoot some stuff, and need some advice, in how can I manage temperature in the a7sII. Cause I was thinking in making some type of tiny umbrella to have some shadow, but I thnik it won't work out. Do you know if there is some material that I can make some kind of protection? or sth that keep's the heat away?
  4. Looking for an iPhone/iPad mobile app that can give me relatively accurate spot color temperature metering. Any good ones out there? Which ones do you use?
  5. Hi guys, Trying to find what works best - to dial the colour temp manually on camera or use a grey card for each lighting condition (custome balance)? I have used both approaches before, my concern is that sometimes the lighting conditions are more complex, like when using combination of tungsten and kino flos, then what temperature do you need to dial? Is it better to balance it on the grey card at the spot where you'll be shooting? Thanks for your help!
