Terry Mester
DHL is going belly-up in America! I just seen on CBS's 60 Minutes tonight that the DHL Shipping company (headquartered in Germany) is closing its American operations as early as this week. Those of you who've made purchases from Pro8mm know all about DHL. Is there anyone who would actually offer a good word for DHL?
Premium Member Paul Bruening Posted January 26, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted January 26, 2009 I don't know about DHL. But, I've got some choice words about going belly-up in America.

Guest Ronney Ross
Thats shocking and strange. I drive trucks for a living and remember just six months ago word was they were trying to become the largest carrier in the states. They supposedly put in a bid to purchase both jb hunt and yellow/roadway meaning buying roadway would've meant purchasing 10 trucking compaines. But I've also seen the days were you could cherry pick your loads and getting 3500-4500 miles a week was nothing now getting 2000 a week is a crap shoot this is all in the last 4 yrs. Ive been driving.
Matthew Buick
Is there anyone who would actually offer a good word for DHL? They operate a considerable fleet of Boeing 757's, perhaps the most dull and dreary narrow-body airliner ever built, made even more boring as a freighter. Jim Carlile
This was a long time coming. I've bought cameras from Germany where the originating agent there was DHL, but by the time it hits the states, it's the U.S. Post Office-- who does a good job, BTW! And I don't work for the Post Office or know anyone who does. They get a terribly undeserved bad reputation.
