malena
There´s a sequence that looks like it´s filmed in super 8. Can someone confirm it? And if so, can someone guess which camera was used and/or the type of transfer that was made? It really has a high quality on the screen. Thanks second
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted December 2, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted December 2, 2009 Eric Steelberg posts here so he can answer for sure, but IIRC, 500days was either 35mm with some 16mm thrown in. So what you're seeing is Probably 16mm (makes more sense when going to 35mm to have 16mm says me)

Stephen Smith
mmmm, please change your name as per the rules of this forum, thanks (i've always wanted to say that). I haven't seen the film, but pretty sure i read somewhere that Pro 8mm scanned some super 8 film that was used in a section of it.
Adam Garner
Pro8mm did the scan, and I'd assume they rented the camera (a Max8 1014XL-S most likely?). They just tweeted about it the other day. I haven't seen the movie. Did it look good?
Premium Member Bruce Taylor Posted December 3, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted December 3, 2009 I haven't seen the movie. Did it look good? Yes, it is a great looking film. I don't remember the S8 sequence during the titles as looking "good".. it looked like S8 home movies, which is exactly how it should look!
