Put some steam in your NYC shoots

Last time I was in New York, I was disappointed by the lack of steam.

The subject makes me think of the late Bill DiPietra, who posted here, and who I met last time I was there. He explained that the loss of steam was seen as wasteful, but we felt it was worth it. Walking through Manhattan late at night, the streets wet with rain and the fog descending into the canyons of buildings, was memorable.

Well, I can't argue. These were taken in Dec 2017.

In Dec 2018 there was not much steam. But I attributed it to the weather being warmer. Since I am not in NYC full time I can't say why lack of steam. But fog is good to shoot in too. They all add drama to the scene. If you got good acting, then they usually just supercharge it unless they are excessive and overtake things.

Dunno. Didn't pay any attention to it.

I had some other shots in the same place. They had some pictures slightly visible on the screen. So I guess it is a LED billboard. It made for some good lighting! The other shots are not as nice or colorful.

(...and when I say natural color, I mean not post processed color.)
