hi,

does anyone know if an adaptor or support frame is needed when using wratten filters, they're much thinner and flexible than glass filters. Anyone used them?

cheers

Hi,

You need a holder. I have used them many times, optically better than glass.

The Wratten original or Wratten2 ?

That is weird I always thought multi-coated glass filters are superior to gelatin or resin....

Is it because they are so thin? Or do people prefer glass simply cuz they last longer.

Wratten filters are good for run and gun situations. There is nowhere near the range of glass filters though.

Those Wratten ND's, 85's and 81EF's have saved the day on quite a few productions.

Kenko make good quality all metal holders for them.
