Matthew Buick
You only get those bars with a CRT screen...I think.
Chance Shirley
This topic has been covered several times before -- once in the last few days, if I recall. Do a site search -- you should find some information that way. I've decided that I must be the only person in the world who LIKES the weird roll bars from a CRT. Jon Kukla
Simple answer - shoot at the local TV framerate (25 PAL, 29.97 NTSC) and use the phase button while running to shift the bar out of the screen. You can practice this without film to get the hang of it.

We still have a limited supply of TMC Tobin Milliframe Controllers that permit you to set a speed in .001 FPS (which I have dubbed "milliframe") increments, plus a phase button. When these are gone, they are gone. http://www.tobincinemasystems.com/page17.html
