I know that P&S is also coming out with Zeiss primes... $2,200 each... http://www.pstechnik.de/en/optics-lensset.php I haven't used an adpater before on a shoot... and if you're doing a run and gun shoot... its faster sometimes to just have a zoom... than changing primes... Saw this zoom for sale... from Cinema-Vision... Angenieux 20-120mm T2.9 (PL Mount) $2,800 Or does anyone know of a better zoom in this price range for a few bucks more ($1k to $2k) that would work better considering these adapters loose light... Also I grew up using bigger cameras... to me the bigger the camera the more I can keep the shot steady... and I've used cine zooms on two movies... so maybe that's what I mean by run and gun for me... my crew saves me time by not changing lens... Since that post... P & S has raised the price of their retooled Zeiss prime set... instead of $8,8k... they're now $11.1k... Plus it cracks me up... you have to also pay them $350 for the mount to mount their lens on their adapter (PL mount).... but you'd think they'd throw that in if you purchased a pacakge deal... their lens... their adapter... But the Zeiss primes you can pick up for less than a grand each... and their is a company... who'll retool them for $350 a lens to make them cinema stlye just like the Zeiss... the dp who turned me onto this company was saying go with Canon's because two of the Zeiss's are f2 and the Canon's are all f1.4... can't think of the model number of the lens... but the ones with the red circle on the front of the lens...
