Alex Fuchs
Wow, nobody there to critique? Be hard, I can live with that.
Bruce Greene
Wow, nobody there to critique? Be hard, I can live with that. Ok Alex, I'll bite.... It looks quite nice actually! My only suggestion is regarding your website design. Please place the quicktime window against a darker color than white as all that white on the screen makes it hard to see the movie for me. -bruce
Premium Member Kieran Scannell Posted May 26, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted May 26, 2007 Hi Alex. Looked nice, was it shot on super 8 cropped in the edit? It seemed a bit grainy at times, was that what you were going for? The shot in the cell (or cellar i couldn't tell) was the best for me really nice subdued atmosphere. Shame about the lamp reflection in the window of the tracking shot. were these actual productions or specifically for your reel? Nice work! Kieran. pablo korona
i hate BOLD ITALIC text, and the music was a hokey, however that has nothing to do with the quality of the imagery. The edit of the trailer was light, but you paint the light which was quite nice. The lighting skills are there, but nothing else was - befriend a graphic designer/website programmer or pay some one, it could really improve the packaging to your pretty solid skill. this of course is my buffer off response. Alex Fuchs
Hi Kieran, all the material where real productions, but most of them with a very small budget. The so called tracking shot has no refelction in frame, I think what you mean is a part of a practical what I put away after this shot (the tracking shot with the girl in bed?), because I don't liked it too. The matrial looks a bit grainy because I compressed it to hard for the web. I often try to light real hard contrasts so I get some trouble when I compress it for the web, because you get really fast noises in the blacks. The finished films/muisc videos look very good on TV.
