shameline
I have a sekonic 758cine, and when I take mesure in daylight of a bright sunny day, it gives me an f-stop as high numbers like 64 for example (at24fps / 180 degree shutter angle) But lenses go usually to 22, 32 maybe, but that's it. So I am not sure how to translate those numbers... Should I just compensate with a ND to get back in the range of the lens stops? thanks. :P Seb. Dan Salzmann
Or use a lower ASA film.

Jonathan Bowerbank
...it gives me an f-stop as high numbers like 64 for example (at24fps / 180 degree shutter angle) Sounds like you're shooting 500 ASA outdoors. You can either use ND's and perhaps a polarizer, but you should definitely shoot a slower speed film in the future.
timHealy
definately use use slower ASA film first then ND's second. I have seen F11 shooting 50ASA film 24 fps using a 45 degree shutter in the winter on mountains in Colorado where the sun and bounce back from the sun keeps levels very high.
