On the go lights

Recommended Posts

Why do they have to be "wireless" or "on the go" if you're in a location like a house? Time constraints mainly?

For the Haunted Houses, it's a maze throughout peoples backyards.. not a true Haunted House and it's about 100 feet total walking, so just running cables and following with a light would be bad (Besides that, we'll be going through while other patrons are, so having cords dangling behind us is dangerous).

Are there any good handheld lights that don't clamp on? I'm also looking to make a documentary style video, following a sports team around to a tournament so I don't have to have great lighting everywhere in the scene.. Just enough to fill their faces and whatnot. Mostly for close ups.

I've been looking into the LitePanels but the budget for this documentary project is very low.

I had a shoot in a casino that the DP wanted a hand held softbox following a steadicam around at the drop of a hat. I rigged a small chimera to one of those 2million candle spot lights. I had to put some opal on the lens but what we got was an awsome handheld softbox. I picked up the 2mill spot for $20.
