hey,

we're shooting a student short film with the canon HDV XHA1, plus

we're using a redrockmicro adapter (depth if field 35mm), using 35-70mm and 24mm lenses

the problem is we're not able to focus when the adapter is fixed to the camera original lens so we have to move the adapter a little forward...

anyone could help resolve this problem ? ...

thank you //

You need a focusing screen that is made for 35mm camera. try to get the ones without markings and put it between the 35mm lens and the camcorder lens. There is actually videos in Youtube where they show you how they made their 35mm extension lens.
