They is also a company that customises them to customers requirements, adding a viewfinder etc. Stephen

But if 3rd party companies do the reflex viewfinder, why it does not come from factory? that's what i don't get about this camera, why it's not reflex... Hardly worth upgrading a 'basic' camera when the minima exists. Stephen
Premium Member Will Montgomery Posted September 5, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted September 5, 2008 The A-CAM is often used in situations that reflex isn't quite as important. Anything from crash cams to skateboard cams where focus would be set and not changed. Also, I'm sure they were simply trying to keep costs down so more people would consider it as an alternative to lower-end pro HD cameras. Adding a reflex ability is a whole new level of complication, time and expense and it seems their research showed it wasn't required. On their web site they also show some really interesting uses with multiple cameras in styles like some of the Matrix special effects. But it seems as though their site is down now for updates... hopefully that's good news and some new products might be on its way. I applaud their effort, even if the A-CAM isn't for everyone it does have it's uses. It's incredibly small too.
