Jesse Aragon
I am shooting my first film on 16mm B&W for a student project tomorrow, any advice? Considering my two other group members know very little about lighting, exposure, and the camera, I am a little worried that it will all fall on me if it doesn't come out right. Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted September 27, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted September 27, 2008 You'd want to build separation with tonalities of grays. Also, it'll be grainier than color neg as it's an older stock. But, you're students. Don't worry so much. You can mess up now, as opposed to on bigger films, learn from the mistakes, and not make them again. I mean, in the end, you may learn more from mistakes than you do from successes (as mistakes stick out more)
